I was sorting 1x fired PPU 5.56x45 brass with the 08 head stamp

as i was sorting 70% of my brass has a small dent in the side ot the case! a lot are like a scratch but a few have dents deep enough to catch my fingernail! is this caused by the ejection from my semi auto? also are they still safe to load? and will this effect accuracy or the ability for the affected brass to be precision ammo?

Re: ,223 brass defects?

Put a piece of masking tape any where you think it may be making contact. When you fire a couple of rounds there should be a dark mark or cut on the tape. If you're shooting an AR type platform, they make stiff rubber buffers just for that.

Common AR problem. I've had no problems loading them this way. You can either live wth dents, look up cutting the ejector spring, or installing reduced power ejector spring.
