Looking around, all I’m seeing In stock is lapua, but have a local guy with 200-300 Hornady once fired for sell... out of a tikka bolt gun, is that a good choice? I’ve never used Hornady brass, so I can’t say if it’s going to be consistent enough to hold good groups?

You can shoot pretty good groups with Hornady, but lapua is waaaaaay better and it was last much longer than Hornady. When you factor the long life of Hornady, the price isn’t so bad. If you’re new to reloading there’s nothing wrong with starting with cheaper brass brass to learn on. But I will say I have regretted not going lapua in the past.

I’ve been using starline brass for my 6.5 CM and it’s been working great. Only 2 listings so far compared to 8 on my lapua cases (which are still going strong). But consistency of the brass and accuracy of my loads is on par with lapua.
