I recently bought a winchester coyote in 223 wssm. I shot it for the first time yesterday with winchester factory ammo, and noticed that 2 of the empty cases had split in the neck. The rifle is bone stock so I cant figure out if I have something wrong in the chamber, or if the nickel plated brass is to hard to expand to the dimensions of the chamber? Anyone have any advice on what I should do?

Re: 223wssm problem

welcome to the club, check out the wssm zone, long story short ,Olin,Winchester loaded em hot as a June bride. Ive had sticky bolt lift, split necks, you name it + USRAC put some shit out the door at the end. You have a nice stick, reload and you will be happy, I can only run the super X 64 gr factory in the .223 wssm. Zero problems with 110accubonds and 120 gr PEP ammo in my .25wssm coyote lite. again visit the wssm zone .
