Has anyone had any experience with the performance of the 243 Fusion on whitetails. Or any recommendations on a good factory load. I'll be shooting a Savage 110 243.

Haven't used the .243s...but I did use the .308 150gr version last weekend to take 5 doe. Nice accuracy, longest was about 250yd, and the round has good expansion. 4 of them dropped dead in their tracks...1 made it 75ft and then dropped. I have to say I like any round where I don't have to track.

they shot like crap for me out of my .243, tried them in a 300wm and they wouldnt shoot better than a 4 inch group at 100, but every gun is different, the cor lokts from wal mart are awesome .243 bullets for deer

Get some Federal Premium 243's with the 85 grain Barnes TSX. They are the best 243 load I know, and I shoot a couple hundred a season. They group great in my gun, YMMV, but today for instance, culling sika does at the feeder, I shot two with one shot, on purpose. One DRT, thru the boiler room, then other ran 100 yards with lungs shot out. Both animals had entrance and exit wounds, bled a ton. Good Luck!
