I’m spinning up a 26” 1:8 Kreiger in .243 for a customer. I haven’t dealt with a .243 for several years (back before good factory ammo was available.)
He is a reloader, however, I don’t have .243 dies and want to give him a test target after his barrel is done. Any suggestions for match quality factory ammo? I’m thinking the Federal Premiums loaded with the 95g Berger Hybrids.

Other than reloading it is pretty slim pickings.
Although the Nosler 90grain ballistic tip ammo surprised the hell out of me when testing what was a new 26" 1-8 243win with less than a 100 rounds on it.
The Winchester 95grain ballistic silver tip ammo has shot very well in every 243win I've seen as well.

I tried some of the HSM ammo loaded with Berger 95 VLD in the same rifle mentioned.
It was terrible as in 3-4" groups in an otherwise 1/2 moa rifle so you might want to steer clear of that one unless you chamber it with a very short freebore.

Had good luck with Hornady as well, both American Whitetail 100gr and Superformace 95gr. Around 1 moa in a factory rifle consistently
