On the .260 142g SMK box, it says they are designed for 1:8 twist barrel. Is it worth running them through a 1:8.5 barrel or would another weight bullet be a better choice?

I have used them with out issue in my 1:8.4

JBM puts you at a rating of 1.5+ at 59, 29.92 at 2750... you should be good to go.

They'll work just fine, no problem at all. Sierra does their in-house testing with 1x8.7" twist barrels for these and they shoot just fine.

Thanks guys for all the info, guess I'll be buying some 142g SMK's then.
Your gonna love em. I have sent em out to a mile several times with great results. (6.5x284 and .260)
