I have a stupid question.
Hornady has reloading data:
.260 Rem
6.5 CM
Both have listings for the following powders:
.260 - RL-17 - 40.3 = 2600 FPS
6.5 - RL-17 - 40.1 = 2650 FPS
.260 - SUPERPERFORMANCE - 42.8 = 2600 FPS
6.5 - SUPERPERFORMANCE - 42.9 = 2650 FPS
.260 - IMR 4831- 41.6 = 2500 FPS
6.5 - IMR 4831- 42.2 = 2650 FPS
Now .260 has load data for the following:
.260 - RL 19 - 44.8 = 2650
.260 - RL 22 - 44.4 = 2650
But 6.5 has no data for either. . . . Even the faster 135gr Hornady has reload data for RL23 which is, the way I understand it, similar to RL22.... (https://www.hornady.com/assets/site/hornady/files/load-data/6-5-creedmoor-135gr-a-tip.pdf)
My understanding, and my gut, says that comparing RL17 and Superperformance data between .260 and 6.5 and extrapolating the data from .260 for RL19 and RL 22.....
That one could safely start at approx 40gr of RL19/22 and work up safely considering the cases have 1 grain of water capacity difference....
Anyway, Does anyone have reloading data for the 6.5 creedmoor using RL19 or RL22?
Thanks.
