Gunsmithing 260AI??

Is converting a 260 Rem. to AI as simple as reaming the chamber shoulder or will I need to re-headspace the barrel?

An Ackley headspace is .004" shorter than the parent case. To do it right yuo must set the barrel back one turn then rechamber .004" under go gauge length to provide proper crush on new cases.

If you did it without the setback it would have misfire issues due to excess headspace.
