280 ai bottom metal?

I'm in the process of putting together a 280ai. Trying to figure out what to do as far as bottom metal. I'd like to just go dbm with a m5 or surgeon but I've heard that there can be issues running the 300 wm mags. I know the feed lips can be bent with the brownells tool, but I've read mixed results ( feeding issues, vertical mag play and rattling...etc). I'm not married to the dbm idea. I'd be willing to go bdl type as this will be a hunting rig primarily. Would that be a better set up with the 40 degree shoulder? Any imput would be appreciated thanks.

Got a 280AI with Manners Mini-Chassis and AI 5-round 300WM mags. If I could do it again, especially for a hunting rig, I'd go BDL bottom metal.

What are you putting together?
I see you are in Austin as well.
I have a Nosler TGR in 280 AI that I LOVE

if you have any interest in shooting it you are more than welcome
it is a <span style="font-style: italic">very </span>good shooting hunting rifle

PTG has some canoe bottom
Metal that would add an extra round and work great.
