30-06 berger 230 OTM

Wondering if anyone has a good starting point for loading standard chamber 30-06 with berger 230gr OTM's and reloder-17. I seemed to have remembered MontanaMarine using rl17 with 225 bthp hornady's in a 30-06 but now i cant find that post anywhere. Any input would be appreciated thank you.

you are going to need a very fast twist barrel to shoot those monsters; good luck.

A 1:10 works well enough in my 30-06 with 230's. Leatherlunger I have not used RL-17, but was pushing them in the mid to low 2500's with H1000... more on that can be found here at this link.

I hope to do attentional follow up testing with 215's as others have commented that they can push those as fast and faster than 208 amax.

Thanks coyote, i tried the 215's a while back and had great results. I had only bought 1 box to try and theyve been outta stock ever since. The 200gr berger hybrids would be awesome but theyre always outta stock too.
