300 RUM

Im kida new to the rifle building sceen and i am trying to build a 300RUM the only thing is i keep getting different info on the bolt face diameter needed... i think its .473 but i wanted to make 100% sure before I choose an action any help on the topic would be much appreciated.

Bournhunter, you need a standard mag boltface NOT .473

I haven't seen it posted yet but the proper bolt face for the 300 RUM is .535 inches. You need a LONG action MAGNUM bolt face.

FWIW - Don't use the word "standard" when looking for an appropriate bolt action.
