I have 3 boxes of Berger 230 gr. hybrid bullets and want to begin reloading them

I'm using Federal 215 primers in new Winchester brass.

Berger says to use 4831 Short Cut and start with 60 gr. to a max of 66.9 gr.

Anyone have a pet load they like for this particular bullet? (I realize everything is rifle specific.) I'd like to save time and money by using a powder that seems to work well with these pills.

One of my .300 WM rifles is a Browning A-Bolt W/ BOSS adjustable muzzle brake to set harmonics for a particular load.
So I may be able to adjust it for a load that works well for you.

In the past I've had good results with Sierra 220 gr. MatchKing bullets with Vita Vuori N560 at 62.8 gr. Dunno if VV would work with the Bergers.

Confirming the 230 gr Berger OTM hybrids (not Target hybrid), P/N 30430 fr 100 ct)

I have tried both H4831 and H1000 in the past, and both again just today (85F, 26.4 Hg, 5700' DA). MV from Magnetospeed.

H4831, highest load without pressure signs (no heavy bolt lift, no extractor marks) is 70.3 gr, producing 2870 fps in a 26" Benchmark barrel
H1000, highest load without any pressure signs is 73.5 gr, producing a similar 2875 fps

Typically 1/2 MOA for either load. YMMV

Ballistics of the 230 at those MV give .338'sa a run for their money.

As far as the otms. They shoot better in my rifle also....
