300wm with 208 ELD’s and Retumbo

I took delivery of a new to me 300WM today and have no idea where to start. It’s a 28” Bartlein 1:10 throated for 230 Berger OTM’s and the original owner only shot H1000 in it.

Problem is I leave in under 2 weeks for a bear hunt and don’t have either 230’s or H1000. I do have several hundred 208’s ELD-M and several pounds of Retumbo left over from an old 300 RUM.

Might anyone have any decent data for this combo?

Should be fine. Retumbo is about the same speed as H1000.
Start the load @ 78gr and work your way up to signs of pressure or 81gr.

Hodgdon puts it from 74.5 to 81. I would run an OCW. In my 300WM 10% is close enough to 1 grain that is how I run my OCWs for it.
