New stick!! Remington LTR in 308. 20" with a 1:12 twist. I will be using 165 gr. sierra gameking (hunting) and Varget powder. Any load recipe recommendations? I am looking for both accuracy and long range. Thanks in advance for your input.

Thanks for the response Lukeva, however, I developed an OCW for a 5r with a very similar load to the one you mentioned. I use 42.5 gr. of reloader 15 with 165 gr. SGK at 2.77 coal. I shoots great in my 5r, but out of this rifle (20" barrel) I only get a little over 2400 fps. Not quite enough to reach out. Thanks.

I have loaded 46gr of varget with that bullet at 2.790coal. This was in a short barreled savage.Becareful and work up to this, load is on hot side. BTW that same load under a 168barnes ttsx bullet has showed better results on deer for us. the barnes load will shoot around .5moa at 100yds( 5 shot groups), the game king loads were around 1inch in my kids rifle.

I had good luck at around 43 or so grains of varget with that bullet. Seemed like a good spot in my barrel since I could go anywhere close to that and still do well with it.
FWIW they do very well on deer and group well. Taken 8 or 9 with that bullet from 70 to 300 yards. Consistent on the expansion and very good penetration. Price is right too.
