i know this is a multiple factor,open ended question. just wondering what people have found 308 barrel life to be in their personal experience. i know original maker,condition,ammo heat@ pressure, shooting speed/temp,cleaning procedures,conditions of use all play a part. also,know that "shot out" means different things in different contexts and to different people.

By the time you wear one out, barring poor cleaning techniques, you will be ready to try a new barrel maker, 'smith, contour, stock, etc. I love .308s for their accuracy and barrel life.
