Re: 308 win subsonic load recomendations

I run 10.4 gr. of Trailboss behind a 180 gr. .30-30 projectile for 1040 fps. You will have to play with the amount of powder a bit for the 220. I can't run the 220s due to the 11.25 twist on my rifle.

Should work with a 220 grain bullet.

I shoot Sierra 180 grain RN bullets from a PSS with a 1/12 twist using either 8.2 grains of bullseye or 11 grains of trail boss. I'm at/under 1 MOA 100 yard accuracy which is enough for me. Both loads give me about 1150-1180 fps but the trail boss is more consistent velocity-wise I'm discovering.

Get some trailboss and find the reduced load instructions on the mfrs website. It's something like marking your case where the base of the bullet is and using 70% of that capacity as a starting load. It's easy and it works, so far with .223 Rem, .308 Win and .338 LM.
