Does anybody know anything about the 33” Rock Creek, 1 in 15 twist Navy Contour Barrel with “cut” rifling for .50 BMG?

I am looking at *possibly* purchasing an AR modified with one of these barrels (with Fisher gill-style muzzle break) and was looking to see if anybody had any info on their performance. Would be especially interested in a comparison between this and the stock AR-50 barrel and break, if anybody has shot both.

Thanks!

Re: 33” Rock Creek Barrel (50BMG)?

I've shot quite a few rounds through an ar50 barrel. FWIW it was just as consistent as I needed it to be. Sub moa VERY consistently with amax handloads, often 3/4 moa. More load development, though pricey, could shrink that more I think.

As to the brake, it works very well. Recoil on the rifle is very mild. A bit concussive, but that is part of the animal. No reason, barring your wallet, that you would not want to shoot 100 rounds in a day with it.
