338 edge barreled action....

So after much debate and deliberation I’ve made the choice to go .338 edge.
looking for companies that produce a barreled action. I’m not wanting to drop 2k on the setup. I’m thinking 1000-1500 ish.

what are some options?

700 RUM action for 400 bucks and barrel of choice with a nut. Preferred barrel blanks probably cheapest, getting you there well under 1K, but max length is 27". I believe PVA will go longer, and has the cut rifled option for a few extra bucks as well. Bugholes is also a great option, and stocks many barrel manufacturers, but it will probably be a little more money than the other 2, albeit still below your 1.5K max.

That’s if I can find a 700 rum action. I’ll end up going with a 30” barrel to get the most out of it and still be able to take it out west.

Tell me about it... I started looking once I made my mind up. I do have an old guy that has a 700 7mm mag that I might be getting.
but idk if he’s gonna sell or not
