Have the barrel blank, just wanted an option about sammi spec reamer for 300 grain Berger's. Any reason not to go sammi spec?

do you want the extra speed (ad other benefits of less case taper and sharper shoulder angle) of doing an improved version?

do you want a custom freebore for specific bullets or running solids single fed?

Plan is to run 300 Berger's out of a mag. No solids or single feed. I am fine with standard version.

Yes standard reamer.
There is the Sloan reamer that has extra freebore for the 300 SMK they started with.
The standard reamer is about 3.60 OAL with 300 OTM’s
The other reamer is about 3.75 oal with a OTM if I remember.

Off the top of my head .225 is the modern freebore and .240 is the original Sloan design.
