3D Firearm Files Blocked in PA — Big Surprise From Our Commie Governor

What's this Constitution you speak of ?

You mean the "big C" Constitution, or PA's lil' ol' one? I'd hate for it to disappear one day, so I'll just leave a link to it here, writ large, for access. If you don't have a copy, download it.

http://www.legis.state.pa.us/cfdocs/legis/LI/consCheck.cfm?txtType=HTM&ttl=00&div=0&chpt=1

Most importantly therein, and germane to our cause, this amendment:

§ 21. Right to bear arms.

The right of the citizens to bear arms in defense of themselves and the State shall not be questioned.

Congratulations on passing an illegal law....that you can’t physically enforce...and that’s going to have 0 impact on crime..... or people’s ability to 3D print firearms.

Might as well try to ban masturbation

But I love this.... because they are essentially saying it is illegal for you to possess INFORMATION..... a 3D cad file is not a gun..... it’s info on how to make a gun.

They gonna ban books and engineering degrees now?

Not a law, just legal pressure resulting in a conciliatory move to avoid a broader injunction.

Wolf and Shapiro are clueless. Information flows no matter what you try to do to stop it.

Years ago, I was in an accounting course, and we used big, old floppy disks as templates that came with the course materials on which to record our answers to homework. These were turned in and graded. Another person in the course managed to pooch their floppy, so I used a disk editor to make a fresh copy of the template, without any of the completed material, mind you. Just the template. So they gushed to the instructor about how kind I was, and she turned around and crucified me for "hacking," before there quite (I believe?) was such a term, because they had been reassured by the publisher's rep that such a feat was an impossibility, and then informed me that she was flunking me for academic malfeasance. No charges, mind you, just an automatic F. Her husband being the department chair, there wasn't much that I could do, so I walked, and still managed to get a 3.5, having changed my major and never darkening their building/facilities/resources again.

Just goes to show no good deed goes unpunished, and people wonder why nobody wants to help them these days.
Hopefully some day both that evil teacher and her evil husband find out what actual hacking is when Chinese hacker rips off their entire life, or better.

My local radio station discussed this topic this morning....

So much stupid that anyone listening was dumber than when they started.

Cant stand when "reasonable" people want to discuss the Second Amendment and immediatly announce they are not going to entertain that the Founders intent is to use weapons against the government because the power of our military makes that stupid.

In other news, SAF is suing NJ and the Los Angeles city attorney for similar stupidity. Lead council: Alan Gura.

I'm sure they can tack on PA.
Who is SAF ? And even though Pa. may get sued I pay for it , Veer pays for it . Not a fuckin penny will come out of Wolf's or Shapiro's pockets .

That's the problem all these Governors or State AGs rule by decree and than defend themselves with our money.

My taxes used to remove my rights.

I think it should be like police on 4th Amendment violations......very little indemnity from violations.

Should be same that the Gov or AG is held personally accountable when they act in my name unlawfully.

Tax money reimbursed if their decisions are found unlawful.

Crap they have a lot more luxury time wise as opposed to a police officer that may be making a decision in the moment so there is no excuse save willful negligence if they get it wrong.

Just like the overreaching, self-righteous liberal hoplophobes (Thanks, Jeff, great word!) who think nothing of what law-abiding gun owners would sacrifice were they to get their magic wish fulfilled. Fucking self-centered shits each and every one of them, they run around behind you trying to hide in the gravest extreme when they realize that you aren't an emasculated cuck and might defend them.

We have to remember that it's the antis that are making us spend tax dollars to infringe our civil rights.

We need to make them feel pain.

I'm really happy when Alan Gottleib holds up a big check paid out by Chicago or DC. I'm hoping to see checks from NJ and Los Angeles soon.

Let the antis think about how many police officers, fire fighters, and teachers were not hired, how many homeless shelter beds could have been added or how many potholes could have been patched. Then let them explain it to the tax payers and explain how crime gets worse when the government makes it difficult for law abiding citizens to defend themselves.

It sucks because we know they don't give a damn about crime prevention, fiscal responsibility or civil rights but the only thing we can do is make them feel the pain by making them write checks and then asking them hard questions.

The SCOTUS or one of the Circuits JUST said that this is protected 1A speech... but PA banning? The company owner should simply say "Blow Me" and keep distributing. Let the PA idiots try and enforce.

So how is the PA state going to... say... stop someone from e-mailing the file to PA?

This is totally retarded on the part of PA swamp.

Cheers,

Sirhr

If they files are not copyrighted then perhaps somebody could get a set of them and distribute them & we could all have fun posting them on as many places as possible around the world.

If one was to have way too much money... some bulk mail route saturation service of mailing a copy to everybody you could find in PA

A novel idea but the point is to have the files to load into your CAD program for your 3D printer. A paper copy of the drawings is useless.

Printing it in a book is how they legally exported PGP many years ago.

Print it in 2D barcode, a bunch of little squares, snap them with your phone and then copy the results to your computer.
Or print the code in plain human readable text, anyone with a brain can scan it or take a picture with their phone and run it through an OCR program, or get a bit of typing practice.

However if you have a tiny bit more money, cheap small USB keys made mostly out of paper cost less than $3 in bulk, might even get some Chinese company to make them for $1 for you

They don't think about the consequences of their actions ls or spending . I give you Californial and Baltimore .

Now a bunch of the usual suspect states claim they are going to sue the Trump administration to somehow overturn the findings of first amendment rights....

Right on schedule... they don't actually care about the law, constitution or "rights" all they care about is their own evil plans.

Isn't this more a 1st Amendment right? It's not a gun, it's a modern 'book'.
It’s a first amendment issue that’s only under fire because it’s related to the second amendment.

If someone published a manual on how to illegally cross the border into America....you’d have judges and politicians lining up to PROTECT those 1A rights.

But since it’s related to guns.... fuck the constitution apparently

Yeah like books on sedition and coups . They're protected .

Is this the event that will be the trigger?

I doubt this is the event that will make anybody rise up. Not something anybody is going to be willing to die over or seriously disturb their lives over. It's a nice narrow wedge they can push in to get their way and open things up more and more just like they have been doing for so long.
The nibbling away at your rights has been going on for 100+ years and has been so hugely successful, why would they risk it.

All of the standard "Civil Rights" groups such as the ACLU have already decided they won't fight for any rights that are not "politically correct"... so you want to publish works saying how great lusting after kids is?... No problem the ACLU will be right there with your back.... want to talk about freedom to own guns.... they never heard of you..

Same thing with all the SJW group... rights only matter if you are using the rights for the communist SJW agenda...

On the conservative and freedom loving side, many will do all that can be legally done to fight this, but after that, I don't think anybody intelligent will go for actions that are not legal over it, as there is no public support for that, so why ruin your life over it & it wouldn't make a difference anyways.
Also those in the know and with the ability, probably realize that the whole plastic 3D printed guns is more of a joke than anything else at this time & your hardware store has much more interesting materials.

Criminals don't care either because "ghost guns" are a joke, most criminals just get a stolen gun which is available everywhere, even in CA and NY etc, usually at prices well below retail & then they never have to worry about it.

"Ghost Guns" is basically a smoke screen for them wanting to find a way to push universal registration of all law abiding gun owners (while not bothering the criminals), so they can send the LE storm troopers to their house anytime they want and demand them to turn it over (much like they do now in CA, FL, NY and many other states).

I searched torrents this morning and found some going back to 2012.

I’ve had a set of cad files since 2010. There is a huge learning curve with any cad cam and a 5 axis cnc to mill them out. I just went old school 3 axis mill, 80%, and a jig. I have not had the pleasure of playing with a 3D printer yet. Ghostgunner has a pretty slick set up for 1600$ with everything already programmed in.

I really don't think that anything will happen until they start kicking in doors wholesale. And, of course, at that point, being the law-abiding types that we are, Marquess of Queensbury habits will have done us in.

Unless they run out of time and patience, or decide to let foreign troops invade, they won't do that.
No point. They can get what they want (effectively total disarmament of any freedom loving law abiding citizens) with a slow boiling of the frog and the acquiescence of all the "good" people that believe "laws should be obeyed", which sadly comprises a large amount of gun owners and "freedom loving" types & most in LE on an actual day to day basis.

Keep up the pressure, keep up the propaganda and keep pushing us back inch by inch and in another generation, they have accomplished their goal.

I just tried to print a Hi Point... My printer jammed!

Hi Point is a much maligned pistol for good reason but I like the mindset of the owner.......

"Providing 2A to those that otherwise couldn't afford it"

Unfortunately because they are intended for people with less means they are also frequently stolen.

The owner has been responsive to Law Enforcement with adding design to help investigators.

Love the story of the Chicago women that got three home invaders running with her HI Point carbine.

Consider Hi Point the "Liberator" pistol for the modern era.

And Ruger P85s are what you graduate to when you hit the "scratchy" or "Keno" payday.
