F T/R Competition 3rd Annual Darkeagle Memorial Match July 14th

We had 21 guns today for our Darkeagle Memorial Match. Clear bright skies with very warm temps and more than enough mirage. Our range is a crispy brown like many others w/o rain for quite a spell. Still, a fine day with our many friends and a few new friends to boot as we remember Danny Shumway and the good times we had with him on the range.

This year's event stands out in my memory as the most fun I've had with a rifle in decades. Come to think of it, the times before, Danny was usually part of, too.

Kudos to you, Scotty, for the work you did in organizing and running the match portion of the proceedings; and again to Dan, Nancy, and all the crew who rounded out the event and made it so enjoyable.

It was a great day and we are already working on a plans for range improvement and ways to run the lines through quicker. It was nice weather and thanks to all that attended. Hope to grow this much bigger next year!

I would also like to thank all those that planned and worked to make the day possible!

I am sure Danny was looking over everyone and I hope he had a big smile on his face - I sure do miss him.
