4000mr - 300wm with a 200gn Hybrid or like bullet

OK guys I ask this for I and a friend are wanting to use this combo.The both of use are running 5R's with 26 inch barrels.We have a starting point to which we will work from,but we both was woundering if anyone had already worked with this powder before with a 200gn bullet of any kind.( even a 185gn bullet if you have data )

Or just tell use to what your time and money has showed you about this powder,is it running like it calls for or something else.We would like to hear it so tell it please.

Never heard of it. Most of us shooting winmags stick with R22, H4831SC, H1000, H4350...

i ran it with 185 hybrid bergers and had good results, 3170-3200 fps
using 75 grs in fed brass, that was all i would use in my combo.
accuracy was very good .5 moa .
unsure about temp satiability, only ran it in the summer.
btw it was fired through a trg 42.
would i use it again ? yes but only for 190s and lower,h1000 for the heavy's.

Hey thanks,I too have been useing H1000 for some time now,but my frind has been the one who has done the digging on the 4000mr.He came up with less pressure for more fps in his digging around.He too has spent alot more money on his rifel getting it ready for testing,mine is still stock.

I'll pass on the info to him and we can then go from their with what we choose to do.I just might stay with H1000 who knows.I too just might go with my first pick in a bullet ( the 185gn Hybrid or Juggernaunt ) better yet I have been want to try Retumbo with a 185gn bullet.Again who nows its just a gamble sometimes when testing for a rifel.

retumbo probably won't work very well with a 185, its very slow and is border line
useful with a 208 . now a 225 and retumbo well that might get you some good results especially with win brass .4831ssc might be another good option for the 185, as well as rl 22.have fun and watch your pressure.
