Anybody use/have used these with varget?

I've been dropping foxes for several years with 55grn ballistic tips,
And recently 52grn amax..

But curiosity (and boredom) I fancy working on a 'screamer' load for my 22-250,
See how fast I can push them while keeping Minute-Of-Rat to about 300yrds.

I'm not fussed about longer ranges now, as the 308 covers that.

Any loads/experiences with this combo? (varget only please

Factory sako 75 hunter, 1-14" twist

Thanks!!

I've got a Savage 1:12" 22-250, but don't hunt with it. I've gone down to the 52 SMKs, but Ive not felt the need to push those super fast, due to throat errosion. It's already bad enough at 3400+, lol!

If you got the 40s cheap, or if you were just fiddling with a few rounds, why not, but you can get those suckers upwards of 4000 fps, if you wanted and well...I don't know what it costs to do a barrel over in England, but I'm thinking it's not cheap.

Otherwise, I think that using the heavies helps to keep the urge to push the limits, down and prolongs barrel life.

Well it's true that barrel replacement is expensive here,
But I find myself leaving it in the locker more and more, and using the 308 instead for everything.

So I'm thinking 'what the hell..' I'm going to just play with the 250 a while.. Screw the erosion!!!! See how flat I can get it
