I was able to pick up a 40X from the last CMP sale.

What is the rail/track on the under side of the forearm called?
And where can I find an adapter so that I can use my bipod on it?
thanks in advance

Re: 40x Question

forerail/ handstop rail. check out Creemore Sports, MidwayUSA, or Sinclair. I even bought one from McMillian stocks. You'll have to figure out if you have a Freeland or Anschutz width rail.

Re: 40x Question

I used the Harris adapter since I already had a couple Harris bipods. You need the HB6A for the 5/16" American rail. The European rail is 3/8"
