what's a good brand for a 5/8-24 TAP ? looking at the mscdirect.com website, they sell various brands. This is for re-threading a suppressor to mount on bolt rifle. thanks.

If you are only going to chase the threads on one the cheapest one will do. If it is already threaded you probably want a bottoming tap.
It would probably be cheaper to go to NAPA and get one from them. They may not have it on the shelf but should be able to have it the next day from the warehouse. That way you don't have to pay shipping.
