They are pretty dam good. I found a place in Colby Kansas just off I-70 that has a butcher shop/burger house... that damn burger pissed me off it was so good... they fresh cut the bacon THICK and grind the meat right there! Big as a plate!! I want to plan a road trip just to go back!

Had them recently after steel competition with a buddy . I paid thirty some bucks for two butger meals . There good but 30 something ? I'll do Wendy's next time .

North Jersey has a place that su]osedly sells a fuck ton of sliders every day , and a few others I don't remember off the top of my head .

I'm not throwing them under the bridge. I've got a religious mandate not to eat halal meat ever, and I find the notion of informing God the Omnipotent and Omniscient that I intend to slaughter an animal a bit ridiculous. He knows what I would intend to do.
Halal and kosher for me mean that the source makes it a no-go, not the preparation. Halal is maintained through product control and strict observance of use of specialized implements that never touch pork products and/or cleaning of cooking surfaces. Another chain that is exclusively halal is Elevation Burger.
I thought you guys couldn't eat beef at all, unless that is just one sect of the country?

My Dad's restaurant was two doors down. They had the famous little burgers...almost like the predecessor of today's slider. Don't know what they used for meat but after a shit ton of shots in your 20s...they tasted OK. Never went there sober

Cheeburger Cheeburger, Whataburger, and Hooters are better than the 5 Guys locally. Hooters has the scenery beat, hands down.
i took my wife to the local 5 guys. Damn good burgers, but at 35 bucks it was way overpriced.
I'll stick to Whataburger thanks. (damn good burgers too, but the 5 guys was a bit better).

Bacon must be cured, before that it is just pork belly. So there is really no such thing as fresh bacon. The freshest bacon is what we have today, they use a special chemical cocktail to fast cure it. I would rather have some cured bacon that took months. This is a more likely place to get that than most. We usually get off I70 on Highway 40 through Oakley to avoid the big jog North through Colby, Goodland, and Burlington. We might have to take the extra time to go up to Colby. El Relnado's in Goodland is good too, if you like semi-mexican food. It is like a cross between real Mexican and tex-mex. At least they got horchata. My Mom said there is a place in Oakley my Grandparents always liked to eat. I bet she is thinking of Colby, and this place.

There's a reason there's no White Castle around these parts. If you want to simulate one, get a cheese burger at McD's, sit on it while busting Taco Bell bean burrito ass for 30 minutes, then down it with three doses of ExLax.
Every few years I forget why I don't eat at Krystal and get a few chili cheese pups. It's good for two days worth of shitting.
