Hi, just starting loading 50 bmg for mag fed bolt action. Am I going to want to crimp the loaded rounds given the amount of recoil? Generally I crimp for semi auto rifle and pistol only. Thanks in advance.
I would not crimp to begin with, in fact single feed to get your load, your best load may exceed mag length. As you say the amount of recoil is a big factor, and you are not going to be cycling fast like you would a 223 bolt action... unless you are a baaaad man
