Picked up one of the 5700 ballistics models, and I'm not seeing a way to put in correction factors for scope tracking....

Scope error is accounted for by using the Calculate MV and Calculate Drop Scale Factor. There is no input for scope tracking error by itself.
DSF is only on Elite & not the ballistics model I think
But...
Why would I want to change my MV or BC if I KNOW that my scope had a specific % tracking error?...
Even the app has two separate correction factors
Elevation correction factor
&
Windage correction factor

They are accounting for it in the MV calibration.
I can’t speak to why they chose to do it that way in the Kestrel compared to the app.
You might be able to account for it in the “Zero Height” “Zero Offset” inputs
Your right, DSF is only in the Elite. Although the AB app has tracking error adjustments, the Kestrel version does not include them. The only adjustments you have control of are MV and BC. While you may have accurate data for them, if the calculated results for elevation and W hold are wrong, you can adjust MV and BC to get better end results. If you cannot get to settings that work for all distances you can always build different gun profiles with different MV and BC for range brackets or upgrade to the Elite software for DSF and the ability to true trans sonic distance. I also believe that the Android version of AB will connect to the Kestrel and may offer the tracking error adjustment in the app. Even simpler, make a head calculation adjustment for your know tracking error.
The reason for it, is because it works the same. By doing a Cal MV and building the Temp Table you are providing a very accurate curve for your system. In either instance you are doing the same thing.

The Sportsman and 5700 do have MV Temp Tables just not DSF calibrations available. Go to Gun->MV and scroll down to MV-Temp and press the center button to add entries.
This must be performed at the range. Everything down the correct wind speed and direction are important. With the target data and atmospheric data in place and correct you then would input the range and actual firing solution to the target to get a center impact. As measured through live fire that is.
Right I just don’t know how it works in the app. Like my geo ballistics app you input range and impact and it updates the chart. Obviously you need to have the correct atmospherics.
I’m trying to decide between apps and I was testing out the kestrel vs geo ballistics. Which I like the best so far. Even over TRASOL
In the kestrel you’d select your gun profile and push the center button to enter the gun sub menus. You then select “mv” and push the center button. You’ll be in the mv calibration menu where you’ll enter the range of your target and what the point of impact was
If you’re referring to kestrel link app that’s for managing the gun profiles on the physical kestrel unit
On the applied ballistics phone app you would hit the plus button in the upper right-hand corner on your solution screen and select ballistic calibration
