Ok, I tried this over on barfcom but it turned into a pissing match.
I have 5K, I want a 16" AR, and 8-12" upper, and a suppressor.

This will be my first really nice AR.
The SBR upper will be full time suppressed.
I don't know jack about suppressors.
I know very little about SBR uppers.
I'm trying to narrow it down between:

ARs:

KAC SR-15 E3 MOD1
LMT SLK8
LWRC M6A2

Uppers:

LMT CQB MRP Piston 12"
LMT CQB MRP 10.5"
KAC SR-15 E3 11.5"
KAC SR-30 9.5"
LWRC PSD 8.5"
Noveske Gen III Switchblock 10.5"
DD MK18 10.3"

Suppressors:

No idea... Is 300 BLK worth it?

Check out the Daniel Defense ISR-300BLK integrally suppressed SBR. Looks about perfect for what you want, and only takes one tax stamp. Not to mention, Daniel Defense is about as good as it gets. I'd upgrade the trigger to a Geissele SSA and add a BCM charging handle, put on some Troy flip up irons, and top it off with an Aimpoint Micro on a Larue QD mount. That should add up to about 5K, maybe a little less. Badass home defense rifle, and 300BLK is a great round to run suppressed. This isn't going to shoot bugholes, but if that was what you wanted you probably wouldn't be buying an SBR to begin with.

I'd say go with the Daniel Defense mk18. Goes for about 1800.00 and is a great base to build on. That price point also saves you quite a bit of extra cash for optics, suppressor, and other goodies.
