6.5-06 AI or 6.5-280 AI

Im in the process of having a rifle rechambered and trying to decide on which way to go. I have a Hardy Carbon Fiber barrel in 6.5 cal, 1-8” 24” and a Tac 300 Action. It was originally a 6.5-06 but I wanted a lightweight barrel and stock. I still have plenty of brass and ammo for the 06 but I also have a 280 Ackley Improved. Is there any or much difference in AI? I have the 280 die set so I just need a .292 neck bushing to resize the 280 brass to 6.5.

Is this a trick question, or am I missing something? You know you can neck down that 06 brass to make either one, right, and that the 280 itself came from the -06?

Seems like you answered your own question since you already have the 280 die set. You'd have to fireform brass for either chamber, with the only real difference being the 280 shoulder sits slightly farther forward.
