Rifle Scopes 6.5 and 17hmr setups

I’ll start by saying both will be used strictly for punching holes and ringing steel. My goal is to be able to practice with the .17 while ammo is easily accessible and inexpensive and then take what I’ve learned over to using the 6.5cm.

I’ve been looking at picking up an atacr with mil-xt reticle for my 6.5. I currently have a SHV F1 on the .17 but am trying to gather your thoughts on this.
Should I ditch the shv and get another optic with the mil-xt reticle for the 17 so as to have the same reticle for both?

As far as speed I like using the same reticles, or at least reticles that are similar. I like ALL .2 mil reticles, also don't like mil line numbers just off the vertical crosshair, so as long as those things are adhered to I'm good.

I use the same reticle in my 'go-to 22rf' as my 'go-to centerfire' and make less mistakes doing so.
