Planning on buying my first AI, (a used one most likely) wanting to go with an AXMC, Need some help making a decision on how to proceed........ Wanting to run the 6.5 Crdmr. Primarily, But Hearing conflicting information on whether it’s compatible or not. Does it need the bolt bushed, or do I order a small firing pin bolt? Or be better off just getting a post 14 AX, or AT? If going 6.5? I don’t reload, well not yet anyway. So will be running factory.

You don’t HAVE to get the bolt bushes or buy the SFP bolt. It’s helpful but not required. If your shooting LRP you’ll be fine and possibly fine with the SRP also, but there your more likely to need a SFP.

Okay, sounds like just a hot hand load issue for the most part..... I live just a few miles from MH, so if I do end up with a problem, I can run it by them. Thanks for your input! Off to the PX forum, see what they got.

There is no issue with the Creedmoor in any rifle. Some when going to small rifle primers have to have the firing pin hole worked on but if running large rifle primers, like almost all factory ammo, then you will be fine. Nothing more to the round than any .308, .243 etc.
