6.5 Grendel w/123 Amax

I'm having a difficult time finding any load data for this bullet. I've perused the forums here, looked at the Hodgdons and AA load data, but I can't find anything specific to this bullet. Any help would be great.

The bullet is much newer than the latest publications.

I've put out a request for data from Hornady; hopefully they oblige.

I know that I tried alot of powders trying to find a good load for the 123 smk's and Accurate 2520 was the winner for my 24" AR.

I second the use of AA2520 for the Grendel using 123 grain Sierras or Hornadys.

Here is some load data I found online from other Grendel users.

Use at own risk. Of course.

<span style="font-weight: bold">AA 2520</span>
28.5gr. - 30.6gr.

<span style="font-weight: bold">TAC</span>
27.2gr. - 28.3gr.

<span style="font-weight: bold">Win 748</span>
29.5gr. - 30.5gr.

I have tried the AA 2520 powder and 30.5gr. seems to shoot really good.

On the AA website they have load data and I just use the 120gr. bullet load data for the 123gr. A-MAX. I start low and work up.

Win 748 and BL-C(2) has worked the best for me.

123gr. Lapua Scenars and Win748 is my "go to" load for accuracy.

Hornady sent me a scan of their internal hand written data for the 6.5 G and the 123 Amax. It was pretty cool of them to do, especially since they just released the 8th edition of their manual yesterday which contains 6.5 Grendel loads. The only issue I have with the data they supplied was the gun they used: An Alexander Arms Tactical rifle with a 14.5" barrel. I have no idea why they would use that gun considering it's a class 3 weapon that one cannot readily get. My only thought is that they were testing specifically for the government (though I find that unlikely). The HIGHEST velocity they record is 2350 (using 29.3 of AA 2520).
