Range Report 6.5mm 121 gr. Lehigh match solid

I tried the 122 in my creedmoor and didn't quite care for them. Just curious, but have you considered the Barnes lrx? I run them at 2997fps in my 22" and they were damn simple to work with.

Curious as to how you can charge 46 gr of H4350 and still able to seat the bullet. Mine overflowed with 46 grain.

So I bought some of these out of curiosity. I just guessimated around my 130gr Hybrid load and started with touching the lands. Warning* Don't assume that these loads are safe for your rifle.
Pressure test:

45grs at around 3100fps showed a lot of promise but I didn't get any pressure signs from any of the loads. So I came back out the next day with just 5 shots of 46.5grs and got this result:

I was pretty damn happy with that but wondered if it was a fluke. So I loaded up 3 more rounds of the same and came out the next day and shot this:

Needless to say they seem to be very accurate. Especially when you notice that during the pressure test that the POI of 44.5-46grs would make around 1" group. I'm impressed so far.

Dont try to get ppl kill man!

Where did I say I was using 46gr of H4350 or even H4350?

From the note you posted in your original post. I cant believe you acting dumb now dude. You went from 44 to 46 gr of h4530 without pressure sign... wrong load or you on crack.

You clearly have a reading comprehension problem and are an idiot.

He's banned. Not like you're going to get a reply from the OP.

Glad he's banned and hope hes blown up his face by now. Karma is a bitch!

I wonder if the OP was banned why his post is still up, like this one. Has anyone reported this to the Moderator. ?

Thats a little harsh. Im genuinely curious how he did it.

Theres no way in hell anyone who reloads this round can do it. I shoot 6.5 cm and from 45 to 46 grain of h4350 the powder is midway in the neck and overflowing at 46grains. Unless he had mistakenly wrote 6.5creed on his note he was really trying to blowup someones elses face...

Very Nice, look in the mirror what do you see.

You are wrong! 46.0 grains of H4350 will fit just fine in a Hornady case using a drop tube leaving plenty of room for the bullet.

I guess since its save to charge 51 grain of H4350 in a 6.5-284 to get 3200 fps then there shouldnt be any concern why it would be unsafe to do it for a creedmoor right? Lmfao....i mean they re both shooting 6.5mm bullets...

I never said the charge was safe or not safe only that 46.0 of h4350 will fit in a 6.5 Creedmoor case.
Is English your second language?

Wtf is your problem? First you jump on someone for info that wasn't even his. Then you get mad when someone says you can fit that much powder in the case. People are running 46-47 grains of rl26 in a creedmoor with no problem fitting it in there. Shut the fuck up or go somewhere else

I'm at 44gr of rl16 and a 140 with no pressure signs and have plenty of room so i guess it's not too crazy

That's at 2.8", if someone is loading a lot longer than 46 grains is possible. How many people go over recommended loads because they are usually conservative. If loaded 3" like one person was talking, that is probably very possible but hey, you are the fucking expert that can't even call out the right person ?‍♂️

Man, I see superformance at the top of velocity on just about every 6.5 load sheet but nobody using it. Or are they?

For the fun of it try some R17! I got super high, almost unbelievable FPS in a experiment. Not with solids though.
Yup. A couple months ago for shits and giggles I was able to push 147 ELD-M about 2950 out of my 24" 6.5 Creedmoor. Serious pressure signs. Wouldn't recommend that.

This thread had so much potential.
I am working up the 122 controlled chaos to hunt this fall. In a 20” CTR 6.5 cm I get sub moa @ 2920 FPS w 45 gr H4350. No obvious pressure signs but backing down to 44-44.5 (so don’t ban me).

Curious if anyone is trying the 121 match solids out of a 260 rem. I'm getting decent results with 40.2 gr. of RL 15 and a COAL of 3.77" out of my CTR

Here's what I settled in at:

Tikka T3 CTR 24" 6.5 Creedmoor
Norma brass
WLR Primers
44.5 gr Of H4350
122gr Lehigh controlled chaos
Averaging 2979 fps
(coal 2.925) (B.T.O. 2.240)

I dropped a smaller buck this year at 437yds. I put it right in the "crease" and he was DRT.
Overall I'm happy with the bullet. The only drawback I see is they don't buck the wind as well as an ELD-X/ELD-M. But they are consistent, as long as I adhere to my dope for wind they hit where they are supposed to.

44.0gr of 4350 pushes a 121 Match Solid right around 2900fps out of my 22" 6.5cm.

Hunting report with 122 chaos, 44.5 H4350 @2850 FPS, took two whitetail. Both around 150 yds. Bullets performed well, both drt. I recovered one from a buck that was facing me that I shot in the chest, passed through and found under the skin of the rear leg. It had shed the petals. Almost no meat damaged but the heart was destroyed. Other was a pass through.

Damn straight I'd be impressed too! I just scrounge up some 121 copper pills and you just made my life a lot easier. How has the load performed in the long term? I realize that it's been almost 5 years now
