Gunsmithing 6.5x284 in 700 LOng action, feeding issues

anyone know how to make a 6.5x284 feed out of a 700 long action,,,last round doesnt pop up far enough for bolt to catch rim,,,2nd and 3rd rounds feed pretty good, 3.160 oal for loaded round,,,,seems the loaded rounds rock front to back,
i have tried a spring thats was stretched for more pressure,,,

What type of rifle are you shooting? Internal mag or external? My 6.5x284 is built on a Rem 700 LA BDL, internal mag. I have not had any issues with feeding. When I snap a round into the mag I do make sure that it is slid back against the bolt. In the past, with other rifles I have found that if each round is not completely slid back that the bolt will not pick it up.
