Has anybody tried the 130 grain Accubond or the 140 grain partitions as hunting rounds yet? I am interested to see if anybody has handloaded these bullets and what their groups have looked like.

Try the 130 Berger's VLD's in the Hunting Bullet. The box will be marked as such. I know of a deer or two that was wacked with em. The deer were hanging upside down an hour later.

i used the Nosler 140 grain Partition for a lot of years in my 6.5x55s and .264 WM rifles. they do a good job, better at 6.5x55 velocities than .264 speeds.
but they shot easily well enough from all of my rifles for hunting.

Has anyone tried the 130 JLK's for hunting? I know that they are a VLD design, but I haven't seen any testimonies to how they perform on game.

I did a water jug test on the 130g NAB and 130g SII bullets in my 6.5x284. The jugs were placed about 10ft from the muzzle with a muzzle velocity of about 3200fps.
The NAB was stuck in the 6th jug with the SII was also found in the 6th jug. The SII retained about 80% while the NAB was about 65% if I remember correctly. The SII had a wider frontal diameter than the NAB.
Here are a couple pictures:
I would feel confident using either bullet in 6.5 for whitetails. The NAB shot a little better for me, but not by much (.6MOA vs .75MOA)

Sons Sako 260 shot 2 consecutive 3 shot groups at 200 yds, 130 AB, each group the first 2 shots went into one hole, yes both groups, 2 n 1 hole. Using Fed. brass.
