6.8 SPC FC head stamp Wierd Primer SIze

Doesn't fit as in the pocket is too small? I have heard this is small rifle brass, perhaps with a crimp? Obviously, if the pocket is larger than a small primer, it must be a large. There are only two options.

No, there is no crimp in the primer pocket. I cleaned the brass with the SS tumbler. It is very clean, looks like there is a smaller ring in the pocket hole. I have never experience. I guess I need to call Federal to see what's up.

I am sorry,I error. It is .170 in size. Thanks for catching that.

The last batch of 6.8 Silver State brass I bought had this same problem. They were not crimped, the pockets were just too small. You could fix them with a reamer or do what I did and send em back. I use Hornady now.
