Will the 6.8 western work in an AI AT with aics mags?

With a mag bolt face and WSM mags it would but the factory COAL is allready at 2.917 so that doesnt give you much wiggle room.
It would be a better option in a long action in my opinion.

Has anyone out there seen a short action bolt body with mag bolt face for an AI? Any rumors from AI or aftermarket options? Would like to get a 7mm WSM or 6.5 PRC barrel for my AX. I feel like AI would eventually offer this with short action magnums getting more popular.
