I bought a PTG reamer from another member at a great price. The print says it has a .277 neck. Is that right? Want to hear from gunsmiths that have a reamer. Am I GTG with this one? Just seems a little large.

I think the .277 neck reamer is what gap uses for semi autos. I'd personally go with a .274-5 neck for a bolt gun. Most I my hornady brass is measuring 272-273 with a bullet seated And no clean up turning.
My first creed has a 275 neck, my new creed is 274, yeah, 277 is for the autos. I have bolt guns.
According to the folks that chambered my bolt gun the neck is .276 on it.

Just to "ground" this conversation, we're talking about a .003" difference here.

On the creed brass I've measured they are around .013-.0137 thick. This would put a loaded round at .269 to .2704.
At .274 you are at .0025 a side and at .277 you are at .004. This is with a .269 loaded round.
Unless your necks are turned I'll bet it will be closer.
A little elbow room for bullet release isn't a bad thing.

OOPS! Yeah, not 13.7" but .0137, just measured a 6 times fired case, that case went and avg of .01445" for a loaded neck size of .2719".
My concern came when I made a couple of measurements, one of a loaded round and one of a fired case (did not take "spring back" into account). According to those I felt .277 was too big but, once I checked with the 'smith that chambered my barrel, I am OK with the .277 neck on my reamer. I should be able to chamber either a bolt gun (like mine) or a gas gun if I should decide to.

Edit: I wasn't even concerned at all until a friend wanted to borrow the reamer. I just didn't want him to F up a barrel.
