Had my gunsmith doing some work and am deciding on a trigger for my 300BO AR, and he was showing me his Jard trigger on his AR. While trying it out I noticed he had a SIX rail free float tube on his rifle. It had no distinguishing marks or identification who made it. He said a guy came in to the shop with it and wanted a 4 rail tube and he just traded his for the 6 rail the customer brought in. Talk about real estate on a free float tube! It wasnt overpopulated like an 8 rail, its perfect for mounting your secondary optics at 45deg, it would make it easier to reach my light button from my vertical front grip (I gotta stretch my thumb just a hair with it mounted on the side at 90deg) and it was more comfortable in my hand than a quad rail!
I just got my Fortis REV 14" tube here yesterday, but if I could find one of these, I would ditch this Fortis - which by the way, is very nice! Noticeably lighter than my carbine length YHM spectre tube, although its too skinny to go over my lo-pro gas block so I have to get a lower profile GB now.
I know its probably something no one makes anymore since I cannot find anything like it at all. Does anyone know who made them or if there IS anything available in a 6 rail currently?
