Does anyone have the O.A.L. of the 62 gr. M855 bullet? I'm working up a new load for bullets I've had for a very, very long time. They are IMI penetrator bullets. that measure approx .907" long. I say approx. because bullet length is within a range of length and not exact.

These are the bullets with the tiny tungsten conical tip that is covered by the copper jacket. I was thinking these IMI bullets are similar to the M855 bullet. If I'm wrong please correct.

I did measure some Speer 62 gr. FMJ BT and they measured approx. .914", the ones I measured seemed to be longer than the IMI bullets.

According to the JBM website, it is .907

One more question. Is bullet in photo M855, like I think it is? I removed the conical tip from new bullet, other photos are of new bullet and last is of fired round. It was fired at 1 1/4" steel at 200 yards. The steel was very high quality and bullets very left tiny divits where it impacted steel.

Thanks for the link to excellent site.
