Hi all new to the board. Does anyone have load data with a 6mm remington with 115 dtacs. The goal velocity is approximately 3000 fps. Any help is appreciated.

Unless your gun has a 1-8 twist or faster the 115 Dtacs will not stabalize.

It does have a 1 in 8 twist. I am on the tail end of a savage rifle build project. Thought it would be fun and has been so far.

Seriously the 6mmRem is not that popular of a round. Don't get your panties in a wad. People don't respond because they don't have experience with it. Would you rather they blow smoke up your ass?

You may have a bit of trouble getting the 115s to 3,000 with the standard 6mm. I am currently shooting a 1-7.5" twist 6mm Ackley slinging 107 SMKs to 3,400 with outstanding accuracy. Tried the 115s but didn't see any advantage over the 107s other than the JBM ballistic printout looked better. The 107s even shot far better than the 115s.
Try some Reloder 22, H1000 or even Retumbo and see how that works out for you on your quest for 3,000 fps.
Just remember, <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="font-style: italic">be careful</span></span>!

I have a 6mm rem it's my favorite hunting rifle but i don't shoot that heavy bullets, I used to run 100gr rem core lokts but I've switched to 68gr Bergers and they are great.
running 46.3gr AR2209 COAL 2.825 rem 9.5 primer
I think AR2209 is very similar to H4350

My first attempt is going to be with h4831 with the 107smk, already loaded at min levels. Also loaded up 105amax same deal. Thats the powder I had. I like the looks of the h1000. Thanks for the input guys.

My original post was simply to advise you to be patient. You have to remember that a great many shooters here chose the 308 and 243 due in part to the availability of better brass. As you see there aren't a lot of people that run the 6mmRem despite it being faster than the 243.
You're the one that stated that PM was the forum to be at before anyone said anything negative. So if you wanna get pissed because nobody has anything to add to your question then so be it, go back to PM.

I had pretty amazing results with IMR4320 and 80 grain Berger bullets. I don't know how that will translate to 115's though.

Try 43-47 gr of H4831 for starters. I've had OK results with H4831 but far better accuarcy and lower spreads with R22.
If that's the powder you have on hand, run it. It will give you a good starting point.
