Looking for some help with my 6x47. I have been shooting 6.5x47 for a few barrels so I’m not new to the case in general. Looking to test all three.

105 Berger hybrid
110 SMK
115 DTAC

I have a ton of H4350 so I plan to use that powder.
7.5 twist 26” tube
Fed 205 primers

Barty 7.5 tw .237 28"
105 berger hybrid
H4350 40.1gr (work up)
Cci 450
0.10 off
3120fps avg

Take a cruise over to the reloading depot section, and check out accurate shooter.com/6mmbr.com as well. Here and there my two fav places to hang out.

I suggest working in your barrel on steel for the first 125 rounds using light loads. That forms the cases to your chamber, straightens the necks, and sets the heel of the case and work hardens it some.

I do ladder testing at 400Y, on a calm morning, letting the barrel cool between each shot. I do the ladder in .1 grain increments because I get more information and it avoids doing two ladders. Start at 38 grains H4350 and stop when pressure signs appear then pull the rest when you get home.

With 105's the high node is usually around 40 grains. I didn't use H4350 with 115's so I couldn't say.

105 start with .010 jump. You will find a node in the 3070-3090 fps zone. 39.6-40.2 H4350.
115 dtacs jump .015 and look for 2930-2950 fps. 38.7-39.4 H4350
