6xc die options

Just got a Bartlien 1:7 twist barrel and plan to order a Tubb reamer for it this summer. Im sure the question has been asked before but I cant seem to find it. What dies are you guys using? Wanting to shoot 110s and 115s. Are the Tubb dies worth the money at $340 for the set? I know any other high quality die set will be $200 plus and if the tubb dies are the best I'll spend the coin, just don't want to waste any money.

I'm using a Forster FL die and a redding comp seater. I was pinching pennies, so the Forster was bought just to get me started until I bought a Tubb die. The Forster works so good, and produces so little runout, that I never bothered to buy the Tubb die. Forster dies are great dies for the money. The ones I've used have blown RCBS out of the water on concentricity.

I'm not a neck turner, so I've never used bushing dies, though I think Tubb's design looks good.

The Tubb seater is ( you should verify this, I'm going on memory) a Redding Comp seater with a different seating plug. Possibly a 30 cal one. I think Tubb replaces the seater plug to allow for the long nose of the 115 DTACs. The videos on his website explain what he does.

David Tubb has been 10 years ahead of everyone else in shooting for a long time. If you want the absolute best, I don't think you'll be disappointed by his stuff.

Do you run an expander mandrel or just the button on the sizing die?

Just the button. I think thats the secret to Forster FL dies. Something about how they do the button works very well.
