Had a gent bring me in a new 700 Remington with the ejector plunger driven inside of the bolt face breaking off a small part of the interior ring located near the front inside of the bolt body. Cal is 270 WSM. with hand loads thrown in for good measure Ejector spring is sitting partway inside of the bolt firing pin cavity.
Shooter received some peppering with this setup. Headspacing ring on cartridge is 50-60% ironed smooth. 'Flash hole has apparently been plasma cut to a new diameter,
Have the ability and parts put this gun back but the interior bolt damage was the clincher for me so I informed him it would need to go back to the factory, He's using 4064. Is 4064 even listed as a good powder to use with the 270 WSM round?

Thanks

Damn.. That's not a good way to end your day at the range..

Looks like 4064 is OK for .270 WSM if its in the 130gr class of bullets.

Straight from Hogdon's reloading data site..
