What kind of POI change are you seeing with a 762 can on a .223? I know the can is made for .30 calibers and work on smaller calibers, but I cant afford a 223 can right now. My YHM 762 QD is very quiet on my .223 but I am seeing a pretty low POI shift.
Thanks

Re: 762 can on a .223 POI change

I have a 7.62-SD AAC I see from 1" to 2.5" at 100 yards depending on the barrel profile.. MY SPR 18" WOA is 1.5" a Black Hole barrel m4 profile with Gernade cut is 2.5" at 100 yards..

All shift is 6 oclock exept the AAC-SD 700 308 was 2moa low and 1moa right..

It works well on a 223.. All cans have there own personality it seems no 2 are just alike..

Re: 762 can on a .223 POI change

Well this is kind of interesting, as I just sent my Form 4's, well my class 3 dealer did, on a YHM 7.62 QD can. Now I'm starting to think I made a wrong choice, with all the threads on POI change. But I guess I'll find out in about 4 months.

Not trying to highjack thread, just reading and venting a little. good luck with your can, keep us posted if you get improvements.

Re: 762 can on a .223 POI change

Who cares what the POI change is as long as you know what it is in moa or mil? My 7.62 can on my 26" 22-250 is a 4moa shift, but its a consistent 4moa shift and doesnt affect accuracy. So if Im hunting without the can, change my zero up 4moa and im done.

Re: 762 can on a .223 POI change

Wish mine was comparable to some above. I screwed my HVT on my 18" Noveske barreled AR and it shot 8moa low and a bit right, basically low at 4 O'Clock.

On an older Varmint Special in 223 I shortened to 20" it shoots roughly 3moa low.

You never know what/how it will affect your rig until it has been done!

Exactly. I just shortened my 308 from 22 to 18, it used to shoot 1.5moa low with can....now Im not exactly sure because it was off the target, now its roughly 3.6moa. Surprising with a shorter barrel
