I contacted Alex at AMP a few months ago. Asked him what the correct pilot was for the 7SS. He was not familiar with the nomenclature of the cartridge. He suggested #72 which at the time of the email was specified for the 7SST. I told him that the 7SS and 7SST are not the same. (Now #72 been renamed for the 7 Sherman short mag.). Then he suggested the #95 pilot which is labeled for the 7 Sherman Max. We all know that is completely wrong.
Needless to say, I’m not confident in their labeling for which pilot is meant for the 7SS.
For comparison, the 7SAUM is similar to the 7SS but its pilot is #20, so I would have thought that would have been close enough.
Anyone who has an AMP and a 7SS, which pilot did you settle on?
