8208 XBR and 142 SMK in 260?

I've been searching around and haven't found much with XBR and 142 SMK's in 260. Has anyone tried this? Any info on start/max charge weights? Muzzle velocities? OAL's?

BTW, Lapua brass, 22" Bartlein barrel from 700 SA.

It seems that H4350 is pretty much the defacto power, but I am not able to find any and I do have XBR already.

I would pick a different powder if at all possible.
The window from marginal velocity to high pressure is pretty narrow according to QL.
You're in hot load territory with a low load density.
You're looking at 34.5-35.5 grains with the top end being questionable and a max velocity of under 2600 fps.

Have any of you tried RL17 in the 260 with the 142 SMK?

No, no RE17 either. There just isn't anything available.
Bummed I traded my Varget.

Looks like the XBR is just way too fast burning to work well in 260.

I havent loaded SMK's yet, but I've been doing Barnes 140gr with RL17. I'm running 41.0 gr, and getting about 2825fps out of a 26" barrel. Hope this helps.
