Please pardon what is likely a very ignorant question. But what else is in the foam besides the upper and lower receiver set?

This is the monolithic one piece upper from Mega, so it uses a proprietary barrel nut. That nut needs a specific tool to be installed since the rails are not removable. That's the long tubular piece in the lower right side of foam, then the small circle in foam is where the barrel but is located. This set also comes with the charge handle and ejection port door.

Get a Rainier bbl bro! They are amazing. I got my Mega from Dave as well and am loving it. I jsut took mine out to the range today for some steel action with my buddy Zach. We were ringing steel from bipod and rear bag from distances of 300 to 700. They're amazing platforms!

I have been eyeballing the rainier barrels for a while. I am not decided on 18" or 20" yet, but I also like the AR15 contour Lilja barrel quite a bit! I have not built a .308 before so I am still researching before I purchase the rest. I also have a mono AR15 and I am well beyond happy with it. Top notch stuff coming out of mega machine shop that's for sure!
