How many times does the comment arise on the Hide about how much we'd love something if only our wives would allow it, or something along those lines?

Well I'm blessed with an amazing girlfriend (and fellow Hider) who not only supports my obsession, but has quite the (growing) arsenal of her own and shares the passion that we all do for shooting and the camaraderie of fellow "gun guys".

I knew that no ordinary birthday cake would be sufficient on her special day, especially with me out of the country for yet another year; so a very talented young cake artist in Tennessee did this for her.

I think you guys will approve.

The whole rifle is made of chocolate, with the pelican case being the cake.

Thanks buddy. She seemed to like it, but it won't fit in the refrigerator and she doesn't want to start cutting it up. I told her to just eat the whole thing in one go but she's worried it will make her birthday Margaritas taste funny. Did I mention how proper her priorities are :D

My priorities would have me eating the part of the cake that's a fake gun, then putting the rest of the cake into the fridge.

When it comes back out, place any handy F T/R real rifle just behind it and take us another pic.

Nothing beats the real deal.

Greg

Thanks guys. Amazingly the cake was done by an 18yr old who's had some difficulties and instead of going on the government tit she's putting herself through school doing this as a side business. Proof that there's still hope to be found amongst our younger generations.
